"When I started reading Lake Haven, I really did not know what to expect. These "Preacher Books" can get real boring real fast. Keith, once again, has shown that he has the uncanny ability to make the everyday life of an ordinary guy absolutely mesmerizing. I felt like I was actually part of the community, went to their church and knew everybody in the book. To this day I can't figure out how Keith did this. If that were not enough, Keith can write about the beach like no one I have read. He had to have been raised on the coast to know what he does about life near the ocean. I was raised by the beach, and Keith brought back so many wonderful memories in this book. I could smell the salt in the air, hear the seagulls and get lost in the pier lights reflecting on the water. That was amazing! In my mind, the sign of a great book is one that can take you on a trip, and when you get to your destination, you are not the same. You have been shown and experienced things that life seems to push to the back of your mind. Great book!!! "

The Catcher's Mitt

This is Keith's first published book. This fiction, primarily written about the relationship of a father and son, has been used in English classes in New Hampshire and North Carolina , as well as several men's groups within local churches. It is an emotional book that you won't put down.
"In a culture overrun with stories of broken homes, infidelity and slipshod parenthood, Keith Brown's work is a breath of fresh air. It is a story of faith, hope, and love, and how these three anchors can keep life steady even in the midst of tragedies. A great read for anyone that needs a reminder of the importance of fathers and the need for faith." (Rev. Clint Pressley, Senior Pastor, Dauphin Way Baptist Church, Mobile, Alabama)
"This book will stir and challenge you to rethink your past and where you are today. With a tear in your eye, you'll find the hope and the courage to be the man God's called you to be--once you start it you won't be able to put it down. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who's ever been a boy and wants to be a true Godly man." (Rev. Richard L. Shahan, Author, Charlotte, North Carolina)
"'The Catcher's Mitt' scores an A+! It's length is perfectly suited for classroom reading, and its content provides numerous discussion topics. A 'must-have' book!" (Mrs. Colleen Stoiano, English Teacher, United Faith Christian Academy, Charlotte, North Carolina)
"Keith, I have read the book, and it is wonderful. I will share it with my children, and I have a nephew that will enjoy it also. Thank you. You are very gifted." (Jean Rollins, Monroe, NC)
