Every summer a team of volunteers heads for Romania for a two week short-term mission adventure. The team, challenged by the language barrier, long work days, unfamiliar foods and customs, spends the two weeks ministering directly to numerous gypsy villages in the eastern European nation. Free clinics, street ministering, vacation Bible schools, prison ministry, and church programs are a sampling of the work that is done. All of this, of course, is carried out with the help of experienced translators. The team is headed up by John Simmons, of Christian Ministries International, based in Columbia, S.C. It is a privilege for J. Keith Brown Ministries to share in this work. This past summer we were able to send reading glasses for the team to distribute in the free clinics. Why reading glasses? As one of the poorest nations, the Romanian people find it difficult to forego necessities like food and clothing to buy a luxury such as reading glasses. Through your generous donations, glasses can be made available to these people at no cost to them. Many of our local discount stores sell reading glasses for as little as one dollar a pair. The glasses, along with donated medical supplies, clothing, and other needs, are shipped to Romania by Christian Ministries International. Interested in participating as a team member on one of the short-term trips? For detailed information you may email Michael Sasnett at msasnett@carolina.rr.com

We will be collecting eyeglasses at each of our ministry programs or shows. If you are interested in participating in this ministry opportunity, simply bring your glasses to one of our shows or contact Mr. Michael Sasnett at msasnett@carolina.rr.com. Thank you for helping us give them glasses for their eyes and truth for their hearts.
